The man killed in an officer-involved shooting Friday in Coeur d’Alene was identified on Monday as 28-year-old Thomas L. White.
Investigators in North Idaho were still trying to piece together what led up to the shooting at a Coeur d’Alene home.
Officials said it all started with a domestic disturbance call on Friday night. Neighbors said the situation turned hostile and White was shot just minutes after police arrived.
Police said White walked out of a home with a gun before they arrived. Then he went to a house next-door they said. Granger said White was friends with the family living there.
The Idaho State Police said White did fire upon officers. They said it was not clear on Monday who fired shots first. They added there were three officers who fired their weapons at White.
The names of the officers involved had not been released on Monday. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department placed the officers on administrative leave per agency policy.
