Family in friends gathered in Sprague Thursday night to remember a local soldier killed in Afghanistan.

Justin Clouse, 22, was one of five U.S. troops killed in an apparent friendly fire incident. Thursday, around 100 people gathered in the center of town to honor Justin’s life.

Ribbons and American flags were placed around the entire town of Sprague.  Lincoln County Fire District 1 crews also brought out their fire apparatus to show support along with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Friends who knew Justin said he will be missed and the vigil was all about showing their support for his family.

Friends also said Clouse was the type of person who ‘went all out’ in everything he did.

Justin Clouse's body was returned to the United States earlier on Thursday. His family was in Dover, Delaware to receive him.
