First Asian Giant Hornet Nest Found and Destroyed in Washington

The state of Washington is not messing around with the Asian Giant Hornets (AKA Murder Hornets!).

Over the weekend, the Washington State Department of Agriculture successfully removed an Asian Giant Horney nest.

Crews vacuumed the hornets out of the nest and it was destroyed.

We will not be bowing down to our giant hornet overlords anytime soon.

The WSDA Pest Program intends to cut the tree down and open it to see how big the nest was and they will continue to set traps through November in hopes of catching any more Asian Giant Hornets that are still in Whatcom County.
