I had an amazing opportunity to see how the Air Force refuels the Thunderbirds, and it was an amazing experience. We got to the Fairchild Air Force Base, at about 6:30 a.m. Hopped on a KC-135, and took off towards Colorado. We were in the air for about an hour or so, before the Thunderbirds arrived, and it was quite the sight to see. We were able to watch the refueling from the boom bay, which is at the rear of the aircraft. To be able to watch the Thunderbirds get so close without any incident is truly a sight to behold. I was able snap plenty of pictures which you can check out it here

The reason I was afforded this tremendous opportunity: SkyFest 2014, which will take place this weekend at Fairchild Air Force Base, and if you're looking for something to this weekend, this is it. Whether it's with a few friends, or your entire family, you'll have plenty to see, and do.For starters you'll see the aircraft I flew in (KC-135) as well as the Thunderbirds, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights. Plus many more impressive aircraft.

A big thanks to the United States Air Force for this amazing experience. It will truly be something I remember forever.
