There are many female musicians in and around Spokane.  A great number of them have already been featured on the Local Lounge.  However, new solo artists emerge and new local bands form all the time, so my job is never done.  In the first of what will likely become a series, I've decided to present a compilation show, featuring female-fronted bands and lady solo artists from the Inland Northwest.  Some have been in our studio multiple times, others haven't yet, so there's something new and familiar to recurring listeners.  This Sunday, June 8th at 10 pm, you'll hear (some of) the women of Spokane, with influences ranging from rock to pop to folk to electronic otherworldliness.  Why women?  Because they're awesome.
A lady and gentlemen: Mallows (with Hannah Reader on keys and vocals) at The Red Room for The Inlander's Volume festival a week ago.  Find more local artist photos from the phone of Matt Loi here.
