Gonzaga Men's Basketball Lands Big-Time Transfer

Gonzaga men's basketball continues to add talent.

The Bulldogs are landing a big time transfer from the University of Florida, Andrew Nembhard.

Nembhard is a former 5-star recruit that spent two years at Florida. He was a All-SEC Freshman selection and averaged 11.2 points, 5.6 assists and three rebounds per game as a sophomore for the Gators.

The transfer will likely have to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer rules, but he joins an already talented 'Zags program. Nembhard will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Head coach Mark Few is bringing in a top-10 recruiting class led by elite guard Jalen Suggs. The Bulldogs are planning for Nembhard to replace Suggs, who is expected to be a one-and-done NBA prospect.

Gonzaga was set to become a top seed in the NCAA Tournament before the coronavirus (COVID-19) wiped out the entire tournament.
