Disney World's Star Wars Hotel Will Cost $3.3K A Night Per Person

It's an exciting day for Star Wars and Disney fans. At the annual D23 expo, the House of Mouse dropped major news about the highly anticipated Star Wars-themed hotel being built in Walt Disney World. The hotel will exist in conjunction with the newly opened Star Wars: Galaxy Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios, though it won't be ready for a few years. Here's everything you need to know.

The hotel will be called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and will be designed as a ship called the Halcyon which is part of the Candrila Star Liner Fleet. It will be like you're on a cruise ship, except in space. According to Syfy Wire, Chandrila is the home planet of Mon Mothma and the first new capital of the Republic after the fall of the Empire.

Sounds exciting, right? Even more exciting is that guests will be included in a Star Wars storyline while they're staying at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and it's expected to be an entirely immersive experience.

While there's a ton to be hyped about for this new, one-of-a-kind hotel, there's definitely some downsides. Between the relatively small number of rooms and the fact that guests will only be allowed to stay for a limited amount of time (two nights and three days), guests will have to decide if it's worth the steep price. Though these are currently unconfirmed reports, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is expected to cost $3.3K per person, per night. Guests can cut the cost down slightly by booking a cabin for five, which will cost $7.2K overall. This will bring the price down to an estimated $480 per person, per night.

Not much else is currently known about the hotel, though we have to assume Disney is planning to really blow guests away for such a steep price point. Would you drop $3K for an immersive Star Wars experience?
