A South Hill billboard is honoring Kobe Bryant days after his death.
KHQ reporter Kevin Kim captured the tribute at 29th and Regal and it was then posted on the station social media accounts.
Downtown, the Steam Plant also lit up with Lakers' purple and gold to honor the five-time NBA champion.
Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash outside of Los Angeles on Sunday. Seven other people perished in the accident. The nine people were heading to a basketball tournament.
Bryant was 41. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and their three daughters.
Kim reports this is a tribute by Lamar Advertising Company, which is putting up the Kobe display up on more than 11-hundred digital billboards across the country.
