Gonzaga Player Chooses Not To Wear #24 In Honor Of Kobe Bryant

Gonzaga forward Corey Kispert is paying tribute following the death of NBA superstar, Kobe Bryant.

Kispert opted to not wear his usual number-24 Bulldogs jersey during the 'Zags win at Santa Clara Thursday night. Instead, the junior wore number-53 which was an extra jersey the team had available.

Kispert filled the stat sheet with nine points, five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals as the number-two ranked 'Zags remained unbeaten at 8-0 in West Coast Conference play this season with the 87-72 victory.

Many tributes like this have been going on around the sports world. Several NBA players switched their jersey numbers from Kobe's number-8 and number-24.

Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter and seven others died in a helicopter crash on Sunday. He was 41.
