President Donald Trump is honoring talk show host Rush Limbaugh following the revealing of his cancer diagnosis.
President Trump says that he plans to present the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh.
At a private luncheon with reporters at the White House today the President said that he could present the award to Limbaugh as early as next week.
During the luncheon Trump also told the reporters that he had extended a last-minute invitation to Rush to join the First Lady as a guest for tonight’s State of the Union address.
Limbaugh announced Monday on his show that he has been diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer."
