Six People Have Died From The Coronavirus in Washington State

The coronavirus death toll is rising across Washington state.

Seattle and King County announced the new deaths. Five of the diseased were from King County and one from Snohomish County. All died at a hospital in Kirkland, Washington.

Researchers believe the COVID-19 virus may have been circulating undetected in the state for weeks. Experts say more cases would likely to be reported in Washington, Oregon and California as testing continues.

King County has declared an emergency and is buying a hotel to be used as a hospital where patients who need to be isolated can recover.

A Spokane County resident who is displaying symptoms of the COVID-19 has been tested for the virus Saturday night. The results are expected today or tomorrow morning.

A total of four patients were transported to Sacred Heart earlier in February for treatment of the virus.

The hospital is just one of ten in the country equipped to handle infectious diseases like the coronavirus.
