Washington Governor Jay Inslee says reopening the state following the coronavirus pandemic will be more like "turning a dial," and "not like flipping a switch."
The Governor believes different areas will reopen in phases to safely return but most will not ready at the extended Stay Home, Stay Heathy order on May 4th.
Inslee says the state lack COVID-19 test kits and has reached out to Vice President Mike Pence for help.
Additional health monitors which we hope will help lift restrictions and Washington will have a rapid response that be similar to a fire department but to help treat and fight the coronavirus.
Governor Inslee says the health of Washingtonians is their top priority and “Our performance as a state has been exemplary."
He says the coronavirus economic impact "may our greatest challenge.”
