Referendum 90 Passing With Nearly 60-Percent in Washington

Washington state voters are approving a measure requiring public schools to teach comprehensive sexual health education. The Seattle Times reports State Referendum 90 is passing with nearly 60-percent of the vote as of early this morning. The referendum allows a 2020 law to take effect establishing a basic standard for sexual health education in the state's public schools. Parents will still be allowed to opt out of the lessons for their children.
