Spokane City Council member Betsy Wilkerson is blasting what she calls a lack of transparency from the Spokane Regional Health District regarding its termination of Health Officer Dr. Bob Lutz. Wilkerson released a statement Saturday calling the firing an "unjust and grossly inappropriate public termination." Board members voted eight-to-four last Wednesday to fire Lutz. Wilkerson says she's "never seen such a lack of respect for process, opposing view-points or differences of opinion" as she did during Wednesday's meeting.
