Adam Sandler...is that you?
The Billy Madison standout is currently going viral on social media for switching up his look, leaving fans in shock. According to Page Six, Sandler attended Saturday Night Live's SNL 50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday (February 16) in a suit. Yes, you read that correctly.
Photos taken at the event depict the silver screen king, usually one to prioritize comfort and baggy clothing, in black tie attire aside his beautiful wife, Jackie, wearing a matching black dress with mesh accents.
The Happy Gilmore icon commented on the look during a red carpet chat with Variety, mentioning that he felt "terrible" in it.
"It’s a terrible feeling. Al Franken saw me in a sweatshirt last night and he was like, 'What are you doing?' and I was like, 'Yeah, I don’t wanna let Al down.' So I put a tux on."
Comedian Amy Schumer, also present at the event (for People), met up with Sandler on the red carpet, telling him that he looked handsome but could have used a tailor, quipping, "Yeah, a tailor would have been … you know. Anyway..." to which the actor replied: "That means someone’s gotta touch me and I don’t like that."
