Plumber From New Jersey Drives 22 Hours To Help Texans Whose Pipes Burst

After the crippling ice storm hit Texas, many homes were left with burst water lines and pipes, with homeowners scrambling to find help.

Andrew Mtchell, a New Jersey plumber, and his family loaded up almost $2,000 worth of materials into his truck and set out for Houston.

“A lot of the people we’ve helped were telling us they either can’t get a plumber on the phone or—if they do get one on the phone—the wait to be serviced is three to four weeks out, so they can’t have water during that entire time,” he told the BBC.
