Here's today's feel-good story:
Philadelphia-based photographer and former social worker Kristen Kidd takes photos of animal shelter employees and adopters while collecting stories, especially from women, about how their dogs have supported them in their lives.
Kidd launched the "Women's Best Friend Project" to honor and celebrate the bond between women and dogs. She has published two books already, with photographs and stories from over 90 women, and is currently working on a third!
“I get the honor of people entrusting their most vulnerable stories and their most powerful moments,” Kidd, 38, told TODAY. “I want for that to be shared with a larger community so that people can see that they’re not alone.”
