The National Council for Home Safety and Security has released the safest cities in Washington for 2018, and Spokane didn't do so great .
Out of 80 cities Spokane came in 79th with over 1,200 violent crimes committed during the time the survey was taken which was the third highest in the state.
The top 10 safest cities were the following:
- Sammamish
- Lynden
- West Richland
- Camas
- Maple Valley
- Bainbridge Island
- Kenmore
- Washougal
- Oak Harbor
- Snoqualmie
Other cities in our area that ranked included Pullman, coming in at number 17, Cheney coming in at number 39 and Spokane Valley coming in at number 63.
Seattle ranked number 69.
The good news? At least we're not Tukwila which came in last at 80th? Yea! Suck it Tukwila! #SpokaneDoesntSuck
